My Journey of Faith: The Beginnings

Faith is not a destination; it's a journey. It's a series of steps, sometimes forward, sometimes backward, but always leading us closer to the truth. I used to think faith meant having all the answers. I thought it meant being strong, unshakable, and always certain.
I was wrong.
The Season of Doubt
There was a season in my life where everything I thought I knew was challenged. Prayers went unanswered. Good people suffered. The tidy box I had put God into fell apart. It was terrifying, but it was also the beginning of honest faith.
I learned that doubt is not the opposite of faith; fear is. Doubt can actually be a growing pain—a sign that your soul is expanding beyond its childhood understanding of the divine.
Finding Purpose in Surrender
I remember the first time I felt a true sense of purpose. It wasn't in a grand moment of success, but in a quiet moment of surrender. I was sitting on my floor, overwhelmed by the pressure to "be someone." And in that moment, I whispered, "I can't do this on my own."
Realizing that I didn't have to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders was the most liberating feeling I've ever experienced. Grace, I discovered, is not achieved; it is received.
Today, my faith is less about certainty and more about trust. It's about walking in the light I have, knowing that it is enough for the step I need to take.
